The news that you or your child is suffering from a life-threatening illness such as cancer can turn your whole life upside down in a moment.
The whole pattern of living suddenly changes and the family is plunged into a world of uncertainty. As well as coming to terms with your child’s illness, you may face problems varying from isolation to financial hardship.
PASIC have the benefit of over 35 years of experience offering support at Nottingham Children’s Hospital. We have a knowledgeable board of Trustees, some of whom who have experienced illnesses such as; cancer, leukaemia and brain tumors first hand, either as parents of a child with a serious illness, a brother and as that child themselves. Our ethos has always been that the best kind of support comes from parents who are or have been through a similar experience. Our objectives have been tailored to meet the needs of the families and children we work with through personal and shared experience of the families themselves.
This part of our website is dedicated to you and your family. We hope we can help you with what you need to know at this time, as well as some useful links to resources you may want further down your journey.
It is important to remember that there we are here to listen and to help make a positive difference to the lives of families with a child living with cancer, leukaemia or brain tumors.
